Jeff Crandall and J. Briozo have been named as finalists in the AAA/Alternative and Acoustic Open categories for the 22nd Annual International Acoustic Music Awards for the single “Interstellar” from the forthcoming “Distant Star” EP.
This is the fourth and fifth time songs written by Jeff Crandall and Mike Nordby have been honored by the IAMA. Swallows won an IAMA for their song “In the Shadow of the Seven Stars” in 2021 and were chosen as finalists for two songs from the album Witching and Divining in 2022. These are the first finalist selections for songs released under the J. Briozo pseudonym.
Other prior winners of the competition include Grammy Award winners Meghan Trainor, Will Ackerman, Jonathan Edwards, Ricky Kej, Jeff Oster, and Minnesota’s own Charlie Parr. View this year’s IAMA finalists here.
