A band behind the fictional person
“I’m a little uncertain about how this is justifiably categorized. Certainly, it falls within pop/rock, but it falls as much in folk/Americana and also in the progressive direction. First thought that there was an artist, but behind the name J. Briozo there is an entire band that Jeff Crandall (Swallows) is at the forefront of.
“‘Spinning Out’ feels like early seventies, ‘The Big Parade’ convinces with fire and a good pace, ‘Blue’ makes one dream out to strings and ‘Santa Cruz’ goes a little in the same line, which is not crazy at all. Overall an enjoyable disc that surely grows more so over time.”
